INFORMATIVO ABCM Nº 97/09 – 3rd Southern Conference on Computational Modeling – III MCSUL
The III MCSUL (http://www.mcsul.furg.br/EN/index.php) intends to create a discussion forum with the goal to promote scientific and technological development of the areas associated to Computational Modeling. The conference is a combined action supported by the Brazilian Society of Computation, Brazilian Society of Meteorology and Brazilian Association of Engineering and Science Mechanics to promote the recent area named Computational Science and Engineering (CSE). This designation was created to contrast with the Computation Science areas and traditional Engineering and has been used around the world to indicate models, algorithms, computational tools and technologies to solve complex systems associated to a several areas of Science and Engineering.
The third edition of III MCSUL has been organized by the Graduate Program in Computational Modeling, PPGMC, Federal University of Rio Grande, FURG. It takes place in Rio Grande city that is located 340 km south of Porto Alegre, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in November 23-25, 2009.
