Fonte: Paulo E. MiyagiThe International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC) and the Escola Politécnica from Sao Paulo University kindly invite you to attend the 11th IFAC Workshop on Intelligent Manufacturing Systems, IMS2013.
This event will bring together researchers and practitioners from industry and academia to give an overview of the state-of-art, to present new research results and to exchange ideas and experiences in the field of intelligent manufacturing systems.
CALL FOR SPECIAL AND INVITED SESSIONS
The submission of Invited Sessions is open. If you would like to organize an Invited or Special Session, please submit your proposal via the site https://ifac.papercept.net/conferences/scripts/start.pl.
The application should mention the title, the coordinators (between two and three names) and an abstract with a description of the session (half a page).
Optionally, include a list of reviewers.
CALL FOR PAPERS
The workshop covers all theoretical and application oriented aspects of intelligent manufacturing systems. The list of topics includes but is not limited to:
- The state-of-the-art and future trends in intelligent manufacturing systems, including computer integrated manufacturing, agile manufacturing, flexible manufacturing systems, virtual manufacturing, agent-based manufacturing, holonic manufacturing, business process re-engineering for manufacturing, multi-sensory systems and computer vision.
- Bio-inspired manufacturing, including self-organization, theory of complexity, swarm intelligence, robustness and self-adaptation.
- Application of knowledge engineering based systems, including multi-agent systems, knowledge-based systems, knowledge discovery and data mining, fuzzy logic and fuzzy computing, neural networks and evolutionary computation, constraints programming, decision support, expert systems and biological inspired techniques.
- Manufacturing systems, including material transfer and storage systems, CAD/CAM/CAE, AGVS, production planning, scheduling and control, quality process control, system design and integration, e-maintenance, fault diagnosis and control.
- Supporting methodologies and technologies, including Petri nets, IEC61499, multi-agent systems, service-oriented architectures, cooperating objects, RFID, wireless networks, sensor networks and embedded systems.
- Cutting and Packing problems formulation, resolution or application. One-Dimensional Problems, Two-Dimensional Rectangular Problems, Nesting and Irregular Shapes Packing, Three-Dimensional Packing, Bin-Packing, Container Loading, Problem Generators and Benchmarks, Typologies, Industrial applications.
- Industrial applications.
Authors are invited to submit original contributions for technical sessions in any of the Symposium topics.
IMPORTANT DATES
December 01, 2012: Deadline for special sessions proposal
December 21, 2012: Deadline for submission of papers
February 21, 2013: Notification of paper acceptance/rejection
March 10, 2013: Final paper submission and early registrationSUBMISSION INFORMATION
All papers must be submitted electronically using Conference Manuscript Management System (ifac.papercept.net). All papers must be prepared in a two-column format in accordance with the IFAC manuscript style. For final submission, all papers should be 6 pages long (two extra pages are accepted with additional fee of 80,00/page). Please use the official IFAC instructions and template to prepare your contribution as full-length draft paper and submit it on line until December 21, 2012. Submission details are available on the symposium website.
All submissions must be written in English, and only PDF files are accepted.
The copyrights (in electronic form) of all papers are transferred to IFAC when the submission of the camera-ready form of accepted papers is completed.
All papers that conform to submission guidelines will be peer-reviewed by IPC members.
IFAC copyright conditions
The material submitted for presentation at an IFAC meeting (Congress, Symposium, Conference, Workshop) must be original, not published or being considered elsewhere. All papers accepted for presentation will appear in the Preprints of the meeting and will be distributed to the participants.
Proceedings of the IFAC Congress, Symposia, Conferences and Workshops will be hosted on-line on the IFAC-PapersOnLine.net website. The presented papers will be further screened for possible publication in the IFAC Journals (Automatica, Control Engineering Practice, Annual Reviews in Control, Journal of Process Control, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, and Mechatronics), or in IFAC affiliated journals. All papers presented will be recorded as an IFAC Publication.
Copyright of material presented at an IFAC meeting is held by IFAC.
Authors will be required to transfer copyrights electronically and/or in hard copy. The IFAC Journals and, after these, IFAC affiliated journals have priority access to all contributions presented. However, if the author is not contacted by an editor of these journals, within three months after the meeting, he/she is free to submit an expended version of the presented material for journal publication elsewhere. In this case, the paper must carry a reference to the IFAC meeting where it was originally presented and, if the paper has appeared on the website IFAC-PapersOnLine.net, also a reference to this publication.
REGISTRATION FEES (*)
Early (by March 10, 2013) Late Full registration 400 EUR 450 EUR Student registration 200 EUR 250 EUR (*) At least one author for each paper should register to include an accepted paper in the final program and to publish it in the Preprints and Proceedings.
The fees include the Preprints volume in electronic form (CD-ROM) and full participation package: symposium program attendance, coffee breaks, lunches, welcome cocktail and gala dinner.
BEST PAPER AWARDS
Best papers will be awarded in several categories: theory, industry, young researchers and main technical topics by an international jury.
