INFORMATIVO ABCM Nº 131/09 – Latin American Journal of Solids and Structures

Dear reader,

Number 3, Volume 6 of the Latin American Journal of Solids and Structures is now available for free download in www.lajss.org.

This number is the first produced with a new layout, both for the articles and for the cover. I hope you have a positive reaction to these new styles.

Also, this is the first number totally handled electronically with the new site, which is run under the Open Journal Systems, an open source journal management and publishing software developed, supported, and freely distributed by the Public Knowledge Project under the GNU General Public License. This software allows an efficient manuscript submission system for the authors, a quicker response of the editor and reviewers and a simple access to the journal contents by the reader.

The number of downloads and visits to the new site has increased a great deal during this year so the new system is now hosted in new hardware.

I hope the papers in this issue are relevant for your research work.
